At Sxoxomic Community School, learning is rooted in both academic excellence and cultural strength. We follow the BC curriculum while weaving in Secwepemc values, traditions, and language. Open since 2017, our school has grown into a vibrant place where children learn in classrooms, on the land, and in the community. From Head Start to Grade 9, we nurture students who are confident in who they are, connected to their culture, and prepared for the future.
Sxoxomic is not just another school – it’s a community of care. Here, education is about more than academics; it’s about building identity, resilience, and pride. Our approach blends rigorous academics with deep cultural roots – giving students the tools to succeed anywhere, without losing sight of who they are.
Every student receives personal attention and meaningful relationships with teachers.
Students regularly learn outside, connecting lessons in science, math, and history to the land around them.
Secwepemctsín, traditional knowledge, and the Seven Sacred Teachings are embedded into daily learning.

RAP Group is all about leadership and mentorship for older students. Through RAP, you step up – building confidence, teamwork, and responsibility. You might run events, mentor younger students, or organize activities. It’s also a space to talk about wellness, goals, and growth. Many say RAP is where they found their voice and learned what it means to lead.
